11 Days Old...
Sorry that we haven't posted anything in awhile. It has been a crazy couple of days. I have been battling a virus and tiny Tate got a little eye infection. But, I think we are done with daily trips to the pharmacy and ready to start feeling better. Everyone has been so helpful and we really appreciate everything!! Here are some pictures from the last few days. I will try to get some more up when we are feeling better.

Day Four of Life with Tate
Tate is doing so well. He is such a sweet little boy and we are soaking in every minute of being with him. Here are some pictures from today:
Thanks to Doug and Marla for the cutest blanket. Tate loves the cowboys and was home in time to see his first game on Monday. Go Cowboys!!

Pictures of Our Little One
Tate is a great sleeper (he is tuckered out from his hard little journey here!), so our first night home wasn't too bad. Well, I should say that it wasn't bad for me because I slept through almost the whole night. Nathan is the sweetest husband and father in the world and helped me through my pains and took care of everything. I just can't believe how sweet he is. I guess that is why we have the sweetest little one! He is a mini Nathan!!!
So, here are some pictures of our little guy. We really appreaciate everyone's generosity and kind words. It is so nice to know that we have so much support. We love you all so much!!

Baby Tate is Here!
Tate Dallas Hess came at 6:18 pm on Saturday, October 6 weighing in at 8 lb 8 oz and 20 inches. It was a long day of about 19 hours of labor followed by an emergency Cesarean section. It all happened so fast (once they decided on the c-section) and it was kind of scary. Tate's heartbeat was irregular and we ended up finding out that the cord was wrapped around his neck. I think the whole thing was more traumatic for Nathan than me. He was very stressed and concerned about me. BUT, Tate is here and completely wonderful! He is so cute and alert. When he was born, he turned towards Nathan's voice and then grabbed his finger. He couldn't be any sweeter. Today (the day after) has been filled with a few visitors and alot of napping (by all three of us). I will write more and post a lot more pictures tomorrow. We are so blessed!!

Oct 1 Has Come and Gone...
We just wanted to let the world know that we are still hanging around with no little boy yet. We got really excited last night thinking that it could be time, but I went to sleep and woke up feeling just fine. :( We go to the doctor tomorrow and I am going to try and talk him into getting something going pretty soon! He has said that he will not induce until around Oct 11 (next Thursday!!) and that seems like an eternity away at this point. But, Tate is still active in there and we are grateful that everything has been healthy and smooth up to this point! We are hoping to have exciting news to report sometime soon!! We can't wait to hold our little boy!!!!
