Six Weeks Old

Corey is six weeks old today. He is still growing and getting bigger everyday (probably due to the fact that he eats constantly). He has had a good week of sleeping the best he has ever slept, and also the worst. But, I will take what I can get! :) He is really alert and loves staring into your eyes. I can feel that he wants to smile, but can't quite make his little mouth move (unless he has gas). We have had Nathan's family in town and Corey has gotten lots of snuggles from grandma and grandpa, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Lots of people love this little boy!

Hess Family Fun

Nathan's parents, his brother Ryan, and his sister Shelley and her husband Alan have been visiting over the past few weeks. We have had such a great time with them. We have played at Pinnacle, gone out to eat, watched home movies, gone to Kangaroo Zoo and had a little birthday party. It was great to introduce them to Corey and Tate loved seeing all the family!!

Shelley's Baby Shower

Nathan's sister, Shelley, has been in town and while she was here we threw her a surprise Baby Shower. She is pregnant with her first baby (a girl!) due in October and we are so excited! The shower was a lot of fun!

No Pictures, Please!

This is one of my new favorite pictures of Corey. I love that he is putting his little hand up like, "Mom! Enough with the pictures!" :) Sorry, baby! I hope you get used to it!

Tate's First Baseball Game

Last Thursday, my mom and I took Tate to an Orem Owlz game. She works there as an usher and we scored some free tickets on her night off. It was SO MUCH FUN! Tate was so excited. He was literally running around the house before we left screaming, "I'm so excited! I'm so excited!" He got to wear his Owlz shirt and baseball hat and go to the game. And, it was mini-bat night, so he was thrilled about that. He loved the mascot, Hootz, and he loved interacting with the other kids at the game. He walked up to several kids and told them he loved baseball or that he was running the bases. It was one of the cutest things I have ever seen because he was just so happy to be there. It was a great night!! (Oh, and thanks to Katie for watching Corey boy. It was fun to spend time with just Tate and Corey slept the best he ever had that night!!!)

Thanks, Mom!

My mom has been such a huge help this summer! She has come over most days to help with Corey and Tate so that I can get things done, or so that we can go and do something fun. She has been our nanny and driver and we really appreciate all she has done!!! We wish she never had to go back to school!

Five Weeks Old

Our little Corey boy is 5 weeks old today. He has changed so much in the past week and is looking less and less like a newborn. In fact, most people think he is three months old because he is so big. Guess how much he weighs? As of Monday, he weighs 11 lb 9 oz! He has packed on two pounds and grown an inch and a half since he was born. He isn't a fat baby, but he sure does love to eat! He has been doing well lately. We had to take him to a cardiologist with Primary Children's on Monday for a heart murmur, which the doctor was worried was harmful. It turns out everything is fine and the murmur is normal and not causing any problems. So, we are VERY thankful for that. He likes to be held and rocked and is such a sweet little boy!
In Tater news, he is doing great as well. He is a busy boy and spends his days playing doctor or fireman or Michael Jordan. Sometimes he won't answer to Tate and I never know if I should be calling him Dr. Tate or Michael Jordan. What can I say, he dreams big. He is loving being a big brother and helper. He loves his little brother and is constantly trying to kiss him or touch him. In this photo, he wanted me to take a picture of the marker all over his hands. As Tate would say, "What me do?" That is always trouble.... :)
