Craziness

Nathan got some shirts and hats from his work and Tate insisted on putting them on and wearing them all night. He is such a little crazy boy!

Easter (a little late)

It is about time that I post about our Easter festivities. It was a lovely Spring weekend (NOT!). There was snowy rain and snow all weekend. We started off the fun with a neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt. Tate had fun finding eggs and even more fun finding what was inside. He got two baskets from the Easter Bunny this year (all the eggs couldn't fit in one basket). It didn't take long for him to dump out the candy and easter grass everywhere! Oh, two year olds! We then went to my moms for Easter dinner and another (indoor) egg hunt. It was a great Easter and we still have A LOT of candy to show for it! Here are the photos:

Is this an April Fools Joke?

We were not impressed to be waking up to SNOW on APRIL 1! Someday Spring will come and stay. But, Tate was excited and wanted to go out and play in it in his jammies. I always think it is interesting (and sad) to see the snow on flowers (hence the pictures).
In other news, Tate has been saying/doing some crazy things lately. Here are a few (more for me to remember than anything):

*We recorded the Life nature series on Discovery Channel for him and he LOVES the fish episode. But, he calls it the "Eyeball Show." :) There are several parts where they show fish eggs and you can see the little eyeballs-hence the name. We hear requests for the "Eyeball Show" several times a day.
*Tate has been interested in potty training lately. He has yet to actually pee or do anything else in the potty, but he always asks to go. This morning I hear him calling for me from the bathroom and I go in and he is stuck in the big potty (with all his clothes on). I pulled him out, stripped him down, and got his little potty and seat for the big potty down. But, no success....
*Tate has an obsession with bowling lately. He wants to "play bowling" and "do strikes" all day everyday. He also insists that we put bowling on the TV while he plays bowling. So, he watches several matches of the PBA a day. It is a little strange, but he loves it.
*He is also very excited for "Baby Core" to come "in the summer". He always wants to rub my belly, hug it and kiss it. He is also really interested in babies that we see. Yesterday, he came to a Baby Shower with me at work and there was a "tiny, tiny baby" (as Tate says) and he kept telling me "I need kiss that baby." He finally worked up the courage to go kiss her foot. It was pretty sweet. Let's see if that translates to his baby brother!

On a Walk

The other day, Taters and I took a walk to look for flowers and other interesting things (or in other words, he was being crazy in the house and we needed to get out). We found a fence that I convinced him was really cool so he would sit by it. He is still talking about it today. Such a little stud...

I took this last one because Tate was very excited to have found "Mater" on our street. :)

Tate Update

So, it has been awhile. We have been busy with sicknesses (Tate just couldn't get over a cold) and various other things. But, the weather is getting nicer and we are very excited to play outside and for things that are coming (such as the new baby in the summer)! Here are some photos of our crazy Tate. He just gets funnier every day! The top photo is one I took of Taters in the nursery. He has been obsessed with wearing ties because he wants to be like daddy. But, the only ties he has are for babies and they are super short. This kid loves church and last week he cried for quite awhile because he wanted to "go on a mission now." We tried to explain to him that he has to wait until he is bigger, but he didn't understand. :)
This is just a cute picture I took of Tate one day while we were hanging out:

This is Tate at a wedding I went to a couple of weeks ago for my friend Jessica. A little girl kept trying to dance with Tate and he was a little nervous about that. :)

I looked over the other morning because Tate told me he was ready to go to the post office (which is so random because we rarely go to the post office...). He was wearing my shoes, my sunglasses and standing by the door.

And, finally, this is a video I took of Tate a few weeks ago. There was a commercial of a lady giving birth to a baby and he came up to me, held his back, thrust out his hips and said "push!" It took me awhile to figure out what he was doing. Once I did, I tried to catch it on video (which didn't work out too well). But, Tate did talk about one of his favorite things: letters. He is constantly asking us what every letter says and pointing out letters he sees or hears in words. Must be from good old Sesame Street.... :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Tate and I had a fun St. Patrick's Day. We played at the park and mall and he came with me to a party at my work. It was fun to dress in green and play!

Big Boy Rooms, Dead Fish and Baby Photos

So, we have had a lot going on this past week or two (hence the lack of blogging). The big news is that Tater's new big boy room and big boy bed are almost complete. My mom spent her President's Day over here painting, since Nathan had to work and I am pregnant. We are going for a Dallas Cowboys theme and I think it looks great so far. We aren't finished with the stuff on the walls (I made a magnet board and ordered some Cowboys decals and stuff). We also got a used toddler bed for Taters!! He hasnt' slept in it yet, but he is very excited about it. Let's see how that goes!!
In other news, Tate got his first pets last Saturday: three goldfish. He named them Dorothy, Nemo and Lips (my favorite). They lasted about 36 hours, but it was some of the best times of our lives! :) Tate hasn't noticed that the fish are dead yet, so no real trauma has occured yet. We might spring for another 28 cents a fish and get some more- after we have mourned for our friends. I didn't even get to take a picture of Tate with the fish because our time was so short....
Also, Taters has been one sick little boy the past two weeks and we finally took him in to the doctor yesterday to find out that he had a double ear infection and a virus. Poor little guy!

And, I had my 20 week ultrasound appointment yesterday (even though I am 22 weeks by now). Everything looked great with the little guy and he is coming right along! The official due date is July 4 (Yankee Doodle Dandy), but we are doing the c-section a week early. Here are a few of the photos from the appointment:
