My Handsome Boys on Easter

I took these photos of the boys on Easter in their matching shirts/ties. They look so grown up, I can't stand it!! These make my heart melt because they really show their personalities. Blue Steel anyone? :)

Easter 2011

We had a great Easter this year. Tate was really excited for the Easter Bunny to come and he loved finding eggs and his basket. He got a little candy and a stuffed animal, which he threw out of his basket and said "this is for Corey." (not a fan of non-candy items, apparently) Corey had a little basket with some eggs to shake. What I didn't expect was him to get the egg open and eat a blue M&M. I couldn't believe how much mess one M&M can make!

This is the result of blue M&M fiasco. Crazy baby...Nathan and Tate dyed more eggs, which really consisted of Nathan and I dying them and Tate smashing them on the counter. This was my favorite: Tate wanted to have a turn hiding the eggs and so he told us to leave the room and he would hide them. He called us back in to "look for them" and we found them all lined up on the table. So tricky! :) Later that day, we went to my mom's for Easter dinner. It was a great day!

Easter Videos

Here are a few videos from Easter:

Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt

We started out the Easter weekend with our annual neighborhood egg hunt. They have three age categories and Tate is in the littles (3 and under). I thought since he was older this year that he would run off when they said go and get as many eggs as he could. But, yet again, he held back and let all the other kids take the eggs and he got the last ones. :) He did get really excited when he realized he could eat candy for breakfast. And, like every year, it was cold and wet. Corey had fun chewing on the easter eggs. It was a lot of fun!

Dying Easter Eggs (Dinosaur Eggs)

We dyed easter eggs today for the first time. Tate loved putting the food coloring in the water and asks to do it again everyday. We tried to make fancy "dinosaur eggs" (you hardboil the eggs and then crack the shells before dying so the actual egg is dyed as well, courtesty of OBB). It worked out pretty well, but by then Tate had lost interest (and the eggs smelled). :)

And, the result:

A Visit From Grandpa

My dad came to visit last weekend and we had the best time! The boys LOVED playing with grandpa. We also went to Trafalga and played mini golf, rode go carts and hit balls at the batting cages (well, other people hit balls- I missed all of them). We loved having him here and can't wait for the next time he comes!
Pigging out at Tucanos! YUM!!!!! Tate ate almost more than anyone. Anytime a server brought more meat, Tate wanted some. Crazy boy!

Playin' Outside

Have I mentioned that we are excited for the warmer weather?? :) I love the spring/summers because everyone in the neighborhood comes outside and we all play and walk together. It is just what these restless boys need! So, even though there was snow on the ground, we went outside to play with the neighbors.

Corey is Nine Months Old!

Our Corey boy is nine months old! He is growing up so fast, we can barely keep up with him! He is crawling everywhere, climbing on everything, pulling up on anything he can and trying to walk. He can walk with his little walker (and anything he can push around). He is trying to walk and can even stand on his own for a few seconds. He should be walking in a few weeks (not that we are encouraging this). :) He has also started talking more and loves to yell "NaNa" over and over again. He is just a sweet baby and makes the funnies faces (which I tried to catch on our little photo shoot). He has his nine month appointment tomorrow, so I will get a current weight on him. But, he is big! We need to bust out the 18-24 mo clothes. As you can see in these pictures, he likes to eat. He actually talks the most when he is eating. He jsut can't contain his joy! :)
