This Saturday was the Child Abuse Awareness 5K Fun Run/Walk. My mom, Tate and I did it and we had a blast!! I wasn't sure if I was going to take Tate, but he was great. They gave him a little shirt and he was was so excited to "walk, walk." (He must have said that a million times.) We didn't come in first (or 30th), but we made it through together and loved every minute of it!

We have been loving the beautiful weather the past few days. Tate loves being outside and watching Nathan work. Nathan has been busy working on our lawn and Tate loves to help. He learned to pick weeds and put them in a bag (after which he looks at us and says, "Good Boy")!
We have also been to the park to enjoy to sun (once with Shelley and our neighbor, Lisa, for a favorites party). We are so grateful for Spring! See you later Winter!!!

Nathan's grandfather died last weekend and we attended the funeral on Tuesday. It was great to see all of the Hesses (there are lots!). Nathan's grandfather had 53 grandchildren, 99 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. We were sorry to get together under such circumstances, but we did enjoy seeing everyone. During the viewing, Tate held his hands out to the casket and yelled, "Grandpa!" It was really sweet to see. Grandpa Hess lived a long and prosperous life and has left quite the legacy!! Here are some photos from that day:

I hope everyone had a great Easter! We sure did! Tate did two egg hunts and he actually understood it and loved it! He loved picking up eggs and putting them in his basket. He also enjoyed getting his basket and eating candy. (He has figured out how to unwrap everything, which is fun.) We spent time with Nathan's parents and family and Tate had fun with his crazy cousins!!

Sorry for the extended absence, but we just got back from two weeks in Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio. We were visiting my family and introducing everyone to Taters. It was so much fun to see everyone and get to spend time with them! Tate loved spending time with his grandpa and acting like a crazy boy everywhere we went. We went to the Aquarium, Zoo, dinners, golfing, fishing and lots more! It was a great time!! Thanks to everyone for their hospitality as we toured the tri-state area!
