Dancin' Fool

This is my new favorite thing Tate does. Whenever he hears music (whether it is you singing, on a commercial, or on the radio), he waves both his hands in the air. It is so funny and we finally got it recorded last night. Sorry it is a little dark!

All Tuckered Out

We have had a busy couple of days around here! Tate and I went to Primary Children's Medical Center clinic in Sandy yesterday to meet with a Speech Therapist/ Occupational Therapist to help work with Tate on swallowing (he vomits when he tried to eat textured solid foods). They did a whole feeding evaluation and had him eat all kinds of different foods and textures and tried to see what his limits were. It went really well- alot better than I thought. He gagged a little, but they didn't push him to the point where he vomited. Tate loves it cause the therapist blew bubbles and played with him. They want to see us 2-4 times a month!! YIKES! And then, they referred us to a Gastro/ Intestinal specialist, more with the allergist and we had to make an appointment with his pediatrician. So, lots of doctors for Tater Boy!

So, understandably, Tate was tuckered out last night. He fell asleep on the floor while he was feeding himself his bottle. He is such a sweet little sleeping baby!!

More Evidence

Tate loves himself some golfballs and golf clubs. I believe this is more evidence that he is destined to be a pro golfer and buy his mommy and daddy a beach house! :) My dad sent Nathan a few drivers the other day (thanks dad!!) and Tate got a hold of them and entertained himself for an hour. I think Tate wants his grandpa to buy him a set of his own clubs!!! J/K

Crawling For Reals

Tate has been doin the army crawl for a few months now, but just this weekend he learned that he can actually get around on his hands and knees. I thought he might skip over crawling, but he finally did it! And, now we can't get him to stop. He is always moving or climbing. He wears me out!!

This video was the second time he crawled on his hands and knees. (After the first, I ran to get the camera. I had to entice him with my laptop to do it again!)

Who Does Tate Look More Like?

MyHeritage: Look-alike Meter - Family reunion - Free family history

This is always a debate between Nathan and I. Nathan thinks Tate doesn't look like him much, but now we know it isn't true. Tate is almost a perfect mixture! Do you agree? Who do you think he looks more like? (And, just because he is very white doesn't mean he looks just like me!!) :)

No Eggs for Taters

We have a plethora of doctors appointments for Tate this month to address allergies and feeding issues. We took Tate to the allergist on Monday and they tested him for all food allergies (because of the hive incident a few months ago). He didn't show that he was allergic to milk like we thought, but he did show a strong allergy to egg whites. He also flared up a little for egg yolks and peanuts. The doctor isn't completely satisfied with the results since Tate broke out in hives from the sensitive formula and that didn't have eggs in it. We have to go back for more tests in a few weeks. Tate was so sweet during the visit and didn't cry at all during the test. He was mostly concerned that he had to look away from the cute nurse while she poked his back. He was obsessed with smiling and laughing at her. Such a flirt! We had to wait around in the office for the reactions to show up and all Tate wanted to do was walk around and play. Oh, the adventures with this baby boy!!

I am a Freak

I know that I am completely behind the rest of the world, but I just finished reading the third book in the Twilight series. I started the first, Twilight, last week when we were on vacation and have been crazy-obsessed ever since. Nathan had told me awhile ago that everyone at his work was reading these vampire stories and I was not impressed. I am not so much into reading things about vampires. BUT, nobody told me about the LOVE!! Holy cow there is so much love in these books that I have been going insane between being so excited and then bawling my eyes out. I do love love. So, I finished the third book a few minutes ago, and I can't handle it. I ordered the fourth book a few days ago and purposely had it delivered in a week so that I can have some sort of life in the mean time. I haven't been able to do anything since I started reading these books, including sleep. I stay up all night reading and then dream all night about Edward and Bella. Nathan asked me today when I was going to be normal again. I told you I am a freak. At least I am not alone....the more I talk to people and look online, the more freaks I find, Twerds as I heard them called. I can't wait for the movie now!!!!

Ten Months Old!

Tater boy is ten months old today! I cannot believe that he will be one so soon! Where does the time go? Well, Tate is a busy boy these days. He can get around the house with his half crawl/ half scoot moves. He could spend all day walking around with anyone who will hold his hands. He loves to climb and get into everything. He says Dada and Mama, even though most of the time he still calls me Nana. He gives kisses and hugs and just started waving the other day. He is such a funny little boy and so expressive, as indicated by our "Faces of Tate" photo shoot today. I love to watch him make his little faces...they remind me of Nathan. He is definitely entertaining and we know that we are in for a wild ride with this kid!!

Palm Desert Fun

We just got back from a great trip to Palm Desert, California. We went to Nathan's family's (his aunt and uncle's) timeshare. It was SUPER hot, but so much fun. It was great to just relax and hang out. Tate experienced a lot of firsts on this trip: his first plane ride (he did GREAT!), his first trip outside of Utah, and his first time swimming. Tate loved swimming, after he got used to it. At first, he covered his ears (which he does when he is scared). But, after he got over that, he was a swimming fool. He would have stayed in there all day. He also loved his little raft. He would just lay back and cross his litttle feet and lounge. It was a great trip and we are sad that it is over. This was one vacation I wasn't excited for it to end!!
