Big Boy Rooms, Dead Fish and Baby Photos

So, we have had a lot going on this past week or two (hence the lack of blogging). The big news is that Tater's new big boy room and big boy bed are almost complete. My mom spent her President's Day over here painting, since Nathan had to work and I am pregnant. We are going for a Dallas Cowboys theme and I think it looks great so far. We aren't finished with the stuff on the walls (I made a magnet board and ordered some Cowboys decals and stuff). We also got a used toddler bed for Taters!! He hasnt' slept in it yet, but he is very excited about it. Let's see how that goes!!
In other news, Tate got his first pets last Saturday: three goldfish. He named them Dorothy, Nemo and Lips (my favorite). They lasted about 36 hours, but it was some of the best times of our lives! :) Tate hasn't noticed that the fish are dead yet, so no real trauma has occured yet. We might spring for another 28 cents a fish and get some more- after we have mourned for our friends. I didn't even get to take a picture of Tate with the fish because our time was so short....
Also, Taters has been one sick little boy the past two weeks and we finally took him in to the doctor yesterday to find out that he had a double ear infection and a virus. Poor little guy!

And, I had my 20 week ultrasound appointment yesterday (even though I am 22 weeks by now). Everything looked great with the little guy and he is coming right along! The official due date is July 4 (Yankee Doodle Dandy), but we are doing the c-section a week early. Here are a few of the photos from the appointment:

Happy Valentine's Day!

Love is in the air! We are very grateful for all the love we have in our lives! We have a healthy, happy little family and are excited to soon be a family of four. We have great extended family, some who live close by and others who don't. We love them all and are grateful for all they do for us. Tate loves spending time with his grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles. Our little family is just hanging out at home today (since it's Sunday), but Nath and I are celebrating tomorrow. I love love!! (The first picture is Tate taking my mom out on a Valentine's date. This is how he came to the door to pick her up. SO CUTE!!)
Tate with his Grandma Howard
Tate and his Grandma Hess Crazy Cousins Last Night Nathan's mom asked me to post this so Shelley could see it (Hi Shells!). These are the thrifty Valentine's gifts we made this year for our moms.

Happy Birthday Nathan!

Nathan had his 25th birthday last week and we had a fun night at home with our little family. Tate was very excited about the balloons, presents and cake (probably more than Nathan). Happy Birthday, Nath- we love you so much!!

Saints Win the Superbowl!!

Wasn't that a great game?? We had a lot of fun watching and routing for the Saints. Nathan has always loved the Saints and felt like they were destined to win yesterday. So, he was very happy when they ended up winning by two touchdowns! Tate loved watching it as well, but he especially loved the halftime performance. He danced for most of it and then had to get his guitar out and jam with The Who. That crazy kid....
I also tried to take a picture of Tate's scratched up face. He ran into a tree last week.... It was a lot worse last week when it happened.
