Seattle- We Love You!

We just got back from a really fun trip to Seattle yesterday. I went with Tate, my mom, and my sister to go to the wedding of my childhood friend, Erin. It was a quick trip (we drove through Friday night and came back Monday afternoon), but it was action packed! We went to the Aquarium, the pier, a boat cruise, the Pacific Science Center, Experience Music Project/ Science Fiction Museum, and, of course, the Space Needle. We also had great seafood and had lots of fun swimming at the hotel. Seattle is such a great city and it was a lot of fun to explore with Taters. I took a few million photos, but here are some of the best.

Spanish Fork Baby Contest

I entered Tate in the Spanish Fork Baby Contest this year. It was quite funny to see all the babies in Spanish Fork dressed up and ready to be judged. The Rodeo Queens of SF were the judges and they asked Tate questions and he just replied, "No!" to everything. They had to judge him on looks, personality, and congeniality. I don't think he will be winning Mr Congeniality, but he was looking quite cute. I missed the announcements of the winners, so I don't even know he is the best cutest boy in Spanish Fork age 19-24 months. The suspense is killing me!! (But, I don't think I can handle the rejection if he did lose!)

Sportsin it Up

These are some recent sports shots. I just finished up my softball season and had a lot of fun playing in the city league. We also just put up our basketball hoop and Nathan has been playing nonstop.

Cow Appreciation Day

Friday was Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-fil-A. Tate and I would not miss an event at Chick-fil-A, so we dressed up as cows to get our free meals. :)

21 Months Old!

Can you believe it? I can't believe he will be two soon! I have an easier time believing that he is almost two on days that he won't say anything other than "No" and he is quick to throw a fit. :) Tate is talking up a storm these days. It is still weird to me that I can have a conversation with him. He can say any word and surprises us with random word everyday. He still loves playing with balls and is obsessed with golf, basketball and football. He loves books, being outside, pizza, Sesame Street, water, his "rag" and his mom and dad. These are some of the things that make me laugh the most:
1) He loves Elmo. He can't just say Elmo, he says "Elmo, La, La, La." (If you have ever seen Elmo's World on Sesame Street- he is trying to sing the theme song.)
2) He puts "ma" on the end of words. He says things like "cracka-ma" (for cracker) and "sesa-ma" (for Sesame Street).
3) He says "amen" after we read a book. He has one book that sounds like a prayer and ends with amen. Now he says that at the end of every book we read.
4) He loves to say hi and bye to everyone when we are at the store. He is constantly waving and saying hi and bye to everyone passing by.
5) He calls any young child a baby and he tries to kiss them (another thing from Sesame Street and Elmo- he kisses a baby on every episode). He does this to kids who are two years older than him.
6) He praises himself all of the time. He must be used to being praised because anytime he does anything he thinks is great he throws his hands in the air and says, "Lay!" (which is his word for Yeah). He also claps for himself all the time.
7) He spazzes like his dad when he is excited and he sticks his tongue out like me when he concentrates.

There is so much more that I love about Tate that makes me laugh, but this is all I can think of at 11:30 at night. I love you Taters!

Happy Birthday, America!

We had such a fun Fourth of July. We went to the Provo Festival, which was crowded as anything, but Tate liked it. We also played with water balloons and Tate's new sprinkler. Then, of course we did fireworks at dark. My favorite part of the day was Tate's reaction to the fireworks. He LOVED them! He would yell out "fire! fire" and then watch them with the cutest little excited look on his face. As soon as the flames went out, he would say "again!" and do the sign for more. It was so cute! I sure love that kid and I love our wonderful country!!
