Nathan's grandfather died last weekend and we attended the funeral on Tuesday. It was great to see all of the Hesses (there are lots!). Nathan's grandfather had 53 grandchildren, 99 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. We were sorry to get together under such circumstances, but we did enjoy seeing everyone. During the viewing, Tate held his hands out to the casket and yelled, "Grandpa!" It was really sweet to see. Grandpa Hess lived a long and prosperous life and has left quite the legacy!! Oh, I am so sorry to hear about Nathan's grandpa! That is hard, but it sounds like he had quite a life! 53 grandchildren! 99 great-grandchildren! How many kids did they have?!?!? That's amazing!
