Tate Dallas Hess came at 6:18 pm on Saturday, October 6 weighing in at 8 lb 8 oz and 20 inches. It was a long day of about 19 hours of labor followed by an emergency Cesarean section. It all happened so fast (once they decided on the c-section) and it was kind of scary. Tate's heartbeat was irregular and we ended up finding out that the cord was wrapped around his neck. I think the whole thing was more traumatic for Nathan than me. He was very stressed and concerned about me. BUT, Tate is here and completely wonderful! He is so cute and alert. When he was born, he turned towards Nathan's voice and then grabbed his finger. He couldn't be any sweeter. Today (the day after) has been filled with a few visitors and alot of napping (by all three of us). I will write more and post a lot more pictures tomorrow. We are so blessed!!

He is the cutest baby ever, of course I am extremely biased. But he has the cutest parents, so I guess that's no surprise.
Megan you did such a good job and ended up with a healthy baby. Just get some sleep while you can.
Oh my goodness! Little Tater Tot isn't so little! He is too cute. I am glad that everyone is doing okay. Sounds like a crazy day. Enjoy Tate, many laughs are just around the corner. Way to go Aunt Megan.

Meg and Nate, I am so happy for you guys. He really is the cutest ever in the world! We will be by later today to see him, when mom can't be rude and push me out of the way again to get to him first.

Oh Megan! He is so beautiful! I am so happy for the three of you! What a traumatic entrance but I am so glad that everything turned out fine! Enjoy your time together, these first few weeks will be magical (and exhausting- take any help that is offered! Even if it's just washing dishes for you!) God bless you all!
